The Diwan of Imam Shafi’ee

The compilation includes the Arabic poetry of Imam Shafe’e with explanatory translation in English. A very simple and easy style of translation has been adopted, allowing all to benefit from the valuable advices and lessons captured by Imam Shafe’e within his poetry. It should hopefully serve beneficial for students of Arabic along with those that are unable to read or understand Arabic. Furthermore, there is a vocabulary list of the difficult words in footnotes allowing students to benefit further. Also, a treatise of Arabic poetry rules in English has been added to the beginning of the compilation for further benefit.
